The university comprises of eleven schools and a number of non-academic support departments that enhance the student experience from application to graduation and connect with businesses & the local community.

The Department of Communications, Marketing & Gatehouse covers a range of services and activity for the University. From press releases, RGView articles, event planning and management, course promotion and other marketing activity, web and social, printing and graphics.
The Department for the Enhancement of Learning, Teaching, and Assessment (DELTA) plays a key role in further enhancing and transforming the student learning journey in line with RGU’s ambitious university strategy to provide students with an excellent experience that will enable them to raise their aspirations and thrive in their professional careers as global citizens.
Developing the Young Workforce is a Scottish Government initiative, which aims to make it easier for employers to connect with young people. The regional group for Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire – DYW North East – is hosted at RGU and plays a key part in the delivery of the Young Person’s Guarantee.
Based in Aberdeen, at the heart of the North Sea offshore energy industry, the Institute draws upon the vast experience, thought-leadership and exclusive facilities that RGU has built up over more than four decades of engagement with the sector.
The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group are responsible for supporting the development of new businesses and inspiring innovation at RGU.
The Estates & Property Services Department provides a high quality maintenance and management service for all University premises and grounds.
The Financial Services department processes all the University’s financial transactions, provides management and statutory financial reporting to all relevant stakeholders and provides financial advice to colleagues throughout the University and manages financial risk.

International College Robert Gordon University (ICRGU) offers alternative entry points into Robert Gordon University (RGU), both at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Courses are specifically matched to RGU degree programmes, taught in smaller classes with a more tailored approach in a supportive student-centered environment.
The IT Helpdesk offers support for all your university needs. We support students staff and visitors with everything such as IT accounts, how to connect to the wireless service, accessing and configuring email, print, copy and scan, and the location of IT labs across our campus - and lots more.

The National Subsea Centre (NSC) is the multi-million-pound Centre of Excellence for subsea research and technology development, delivered through partnership between RGU and Net Zero Technology Centre (NZTC).
The Occupational Health and Environmental Services (OHES) team has the responsibility of providing expert advice and assistance to support Schools, Departments and Research Institutes in the implementation of their responsibilities within the University Safety Management System.
The Planning and Insight department supports the university’s strategic ambitions through delivering an integrated institutional planning process, providing mature business intelligence and analytics and implementing and monitoring an effective policy and compliance framework.
