Smash! Pickleball launches at RGU SPORT

Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the world, combining tennis, badminton, and table tennis together to make a fun and social sport for all ages and abilities.

At RGU SPORT, we’re delighted to now be able to provide all staff, students, and community participants with an opportunity to play this unique and growing sport. This includes coach-led sessions, taster session for groups or parties and pay-and-play options.

Gareth Rennie from Cults Tennis club leads coach-led session every Wednesday morning from 10:15 - 11:00 and 11:00 – 11:45 in the RGU SPORT sports hall. This is £3.50 per person and can be booked online. The sessions are open to both old and new faces each week and everyone is welcome to drop-in to find out more about how to play.

Furthermore, RGU SPORT staff have organised sessions every Tuesday night from 17:00 – 18:00 for all staff, students, and community participants. To find out more or to sign up, contact sportdevelopmentteam@rgu.ac.uk. 

In addition to the above, participants can play with friends through our pay-and-play options which can also be booked online. Book a court and come along and give it a shot. Equipment is even available for free if required.
