COVID-19 Health & Safety

Health and safety is the paramount consideration as COVID-19 restrictions ease. The University will continue to review and adapt all advice in line with the latest government guidance. To ensure that your experience at RGU is as safe, authentic and enjoyable as possible, the Golden Rules are in place. These rules are based on current public health information and must be followed by everyone who visits the campus:

  • Social distancing signage must be adhered to and separation maintained.
  • Face coverings must be worn indoors (eating, drinking, exercising, presenting, and office seating exempt).
  • Coughs and sneezes must be covered with a tissue and the tissue bagged and binned.
  • Hands must be washed regularly with soap and water for 20 seconds to reduce transmission.

In order to adhere to social distancing, our teaching spaces are subject to capacity restrictions. In effect, all activities taking place during our Open Days are subject to availability on a first come, first served basis.

We encourage you to bring friends or family along with you to explore our campus during our Open Days, however please be aware that whilst participating in activities in spaces which are likely to reach capacity – we ask that you bring a maximum of one accompanying guest with you at that time so that we can accommodate as many prospective students as possible.

Should restrictions for any reason be re-imposed that would jeopardise the safety of our visitors, staff and current students, these events may be cancelled. The university accepts no responsibility to reimburse for accommodation or travel. In the event of a cancellation, the university will notify all registrations as soon as possible.
