Introducing Dame Evelyn Glennie CH

Our new Chancellor, Dame Evelyn Glennie CH, is already looking forward to this new role where she will act as an ambassador, helping to raise RGU’s profile regionally, nationally, and internationally.

Dame Evelyn Glennie CH is an internationally renowned solo percussionist and double GRAMMY award winner with an ambition to eliminate barriers to higher education. Evelyn made a short address to the university community on her appointment as Chancellor, taking over the role from Sir Ian Wood in the summer.
