Equality & Diversity
Equality Action Groups & Champions
Our Equality Action Groups are created with the intention to bring together colleagues from across the university to contribute and challenge, reinforce and recognise the on-going commitment of RGU to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Get Involved
Our Action Groups meet to discuss issues, contribute to activities, and promote inclusivity for their specific equality strand across the university.
RGU appoints Equality Champions for each of the 9 protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010. Everyone can get involved! You do not need to identify with a particular background, and we always welcome allies to support our equality work. To find out more about applying to be an Equality Champion, Network representative or group member, please contact equality@rgu.ac.uk.

About our Action Groups
Equality Action Groups are created with the intention to bring together colleagues from across the university to contribute and challenge, reinforce and recognise the on-going commitment of RGU to equality, diversity, and inclusion. Following the appointment of staff equality champions, student equality champions, and the reformation of the Equality and Diversity Sub-committee and Forum (EDSC & EDF), it is our vision to foster staff and student engagements to make everyone working, studying, or visiting our campus to feel welcomed, respected, valued and included as well as ensuring that our policies, procedures and processes are fair, transparent and clear.
