The CNOOC Petroleum Europe Limited Scholarship will fund one undergraduate entrance scholarship, offering £3,000 per annum for the duration of a four-year undergraduate degree course, with a total pledge of £12,000. The award is available to those studying a subject within the Engineering discipline. To be eligible, students must be Scottish domiciled and classed as a ‘home fees student’.

Other Requirements
To be eligible to apply for the CNOOC Petroleum Europe Limited Scholarship you must be:
- Enrolled in your first year of study on BEng (Hons) Engineering Design; BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering; BSc (Eng) Mechanical Engineering; BEng (Hons) Electronic & Electrical Engineering;
- BEng (Hons) Mechanical & Electrical Engineering; BEng (Hons) Mechanical & Offshore Engineering or BSc (Eng) Electronic & Electrical Engineering course at RGU
- Studying full-time and on-campus
- UK domiciled, having a UK passport and classed as home fee status
- Reside in a low income household (in receipt of Educational Allowance or eligible to claim SAAS bursary i.e. household income below £34,000)
- Enthusiastic, highly motivated and determined to succeed academically and professionally
- Studying your first undergraduate degree
- Able to demonstrate financial need

To apply for the funding please submit the application below by Sunday 31 May 2026.
Your application should be completed in one go so please prepare your answers in advance. Any queries should be sent to scholarship@rgu.ac.uk. If successful, you may be asked to submit copies of any supporting documents referred to in your application such as SAAS or EMA Award Letters.
Applications will be considered on an individual basis, and you will be informed of the outcome by Friday 3 July 2026.
