Applications will be considered between 1 April and 1 October in the year of commencement of study.

Other Requirements
- students attending or accepted for a first degree course at a Scottish university,
- who were born in Scotland or who have a parent born in Scotland or who have at least three years of secondary education in Scotland, and
- whose fees are not being paid by any other body
To be eligible you must also demonstrate that you would suffer hardship if assistance was not given.
No other form of assistance is available and applicants must satisfy the Trustees that they could support themselves or be supported if assistance were given.
Assistance will not be given with fees for postgraduate study.
