The Childcare Fund is available to assist students in financial hardship with the cost of formal registered childcare expenses in Scotland.
The fund is intended to provide a contribution towards study related childcare costs – it is not intended to cover the full cost of full-time childcare.
Students from England, Wales and Northern Ireland studying in Scotland may be able to receive a Childcare Grant from their funding body. Those students are not eligible for assistance from the Childcare Fund.
Successful students will have their award paid directly to their childcare provider on a monthly basis.
