UK students may be eligible for assistance with study related childcare costs. The fund makes awards in the form of a grant which does not have to be repaid.

The Childcare Fund is available to assist students in financial hardship with the cost of formal registered childcare expenses in Scotland.

The fund is intended to provide a contribution towards study related childcare costs – it is not intended to cover the full cost of full-time childcare.

Students from England, Wales and Northern Ireland studying in Scotland may be able to receive a Childcare Grant from their funding body. Those students are not eligible for assistance from the Childcare Fund.

Successful students will have their award paid directly to their childcare provider on a monthly basis.
