This module is designed to equip registered healthcare practitioner to develop the knowledge and skills to assess and manage patients with minor injuries.
The module will focus on 5 key areas, professional and legal issues relating to the role of the healthcare professional managing minor injuries, evaluating the implications of the pathophysiological processes for patients presenting with minor injuries, critically appraising the skills required for consultation, history taking and assessment of patients presenting with minor injuries, critically analysing the decision making processes involved in the diagnosis and treatment of minor injuries and synthesise the concepts of evidence based practice that underpin the management of minor injuries through critical reflection.
