Learning Methods

This course is driven by a philosophy that is student centred, progressive, and practice-focused on occupational health. 

You will learn online using our virtual learning environment, CampusMoodle and apply the theoretical learning to your practice. The learning will be assessed through theoretical assessments and projects.

How long is a BSc Occupational Health course?

An Occupational Health degree can be completed part time in 2 years, in which the opportunity to receive the necessary skills are obtained.

Assessment

Modules are assessed via written assignments and a case management report

Feedback

We aim to provide you with feedback within 20 working days of hand-in for all written exams, coursework and practical exams.

This programme gives you the essential skills and expertise required by today’s occupational health professional to work within and develop and lead occupational health services, particularly in relation to clinical practice and leadership.

What is needed for a BSc Occupational Health degree?

The minimum entry requirement for this programme will normally be a suitable qualification as a health professional in a relevant topic, with the minimum of 240 credits at SCQF level 8 or equivalent. In addition students are expected to be working within occupational health practice.

English Language Requirements

All applicants who do not have English as their first language must provide evidence of English language proficiency of a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in all 4 components, or its equivalent.
