Join our fun, hands-on 2-hour workshop designed to spark creativity and imagination through playful collaboration. Explore how form, material, and meaning shape sculpture as you design playful public art proposals. Build small-scale models, then photograph and digitally transform them into vibrant posters reimagining your creations around the art school.
This immersive and collaborative workshop invites participants to dive into sculptural concepts—exploring how form, material, and meaning come together to shape the identity of a sculpture.
Working together, you’ll begin by generating playful ideas for new public artworks imagined specifically for spaces around Gray School of Art. Using a variety of modelling materials such as paper, cardboard, and coloured modelling clay—you’ll collaboratively bring your ideas to life by building small-scale models that capture your shared creative vision.
Next, step into the world of visual storytelling. As a team, you’ll photograph your models and learn how to digitally transform them into vibrant posters - visualising your inventive sculptures as if they were full-scale, temporary installations integrated into the art school environment.
This hands-on, intuitive activity encourages experimentation, collaboration, and creative exchange. It’s an opportunity to work as a team, share ideas, and bring imaginative sculptural proposals to life through a playful process of making and reimagining.
