This course aims to equip you with the knowledge and understanding to underpin clinical decision making in assessment of patients with musculoskeletal minor injuries in an accident and emergency environment. The course is aimed at honours graduates in Diagnostic Radiography, Nursing or a relevant Allied Health Profession with experience in imaging or treatment of minor injuries.

- Principles of Triage and patient consultation
- Clinical assessment of musculoskeletal minor injuries
- Use of standardised assessment tools
- Principles of Red Dot and Commenting
- Clinical management of musculoskeletal minor injuries
Learning Methods
The course is delivered via online distance learning, using our Virtual Learning Environment CampusMoodle and work based learning.
Assessment
This course is assessed through assessed course work and a case report.
BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography, Nursing or a relevant Allied Health Profession plus a minimum of 3 years experience in imaging or treatment of musculoskeletal minor injuries.
