Course Length

1 day, 10:00 - 16:00

Participants are invited to learn how to make their own dish or plate using a press moulding technique.  Moulds involve a variety of dishes sourced from the participants own home.

Following the process of press moulding you are invited to experiment with surface decoration and will be guided through a variety of techniques including sgraffito, stencils and stamping.

Participants will make two test tiles to sample and experiment with both decoration and colour prior to decorating the surface of their own final dish or plate.

Both the completed dish and one test tile will be bisque fired using the kiln located in our purpose-built ceramic’s studio. Furthermore, the option for your work to be glazed (clear glazed) for you is also provided.

Maker’s pots can be collected at a later date.
