The MRes is a 12-month programme full time, or 24 months part time.

Our MRes programme is designed to support students in pursuing in-depth independent research within an interdisciplinary academic structure. Whether you're focused on a policy role, an industry research career, consultancy or independent research, our pathways provide methodological flexibility - qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods - and a wide range of thematic areas to inspire your research in 8 different subject groups
You can also use the search and filters to find a more specific topic that interests you. Once you have selected a suitable topic, use this as a foundation to write your research proposal. If you wish to study a research degree topic not listed, or if you would like to study something similar to a topic covered, you are welcome to submit a speculative application including your own research proposal.
