What Our Students Say
Xiang Han Ang
MSc Dietetics student from Singapore
What attracted you to your course at RGU?
I was attracted to RGU by the placement opportunity on my course, the course fee, teaching staff, course modules, location of the university and how helpful the recruitment team was before and during my application.
Before coming to RGU, what was your expectation of it - and how has the reality been?
Before I arrived, I didn’t know what to expect from about RGU, however there are so many more services provided for me, allowing me to settle in Aberdeen and make progress with my studies.
What's the best thing about being an RGU student?
I love being an RGU student as I get to make international, as well as local, friends. With these friendships, it was easier for me to adapt in Aberdeen.
What is your favourite way to spend your time when you are not studying? Why is that important to you?
I love nature! So, I’ll definitely head out to hike or do some other outdoor activities like skiing, camping in the wild. We are so lucky where we live in Scotland to be able to do that with such ease.
What would you say to someone considering studying at RGU? Any advice you would share?
Talk to the relevant staff to ensure that it is the right course for you. This can be the key to your success . Also, use the “Chat to our staff & students” function on the RGU website where you can have a chat with students who are studying your desired course and get the insight track from someone who can really relate to the questions you might have as they’ve been in the same place a short time ago.
