What Our Students Say
Stacy De Souza
BA (Hons) Applied Social Sciences student from Scotland
What attracted you to your course at RGU?
My interest in sociology and wanting to learn more about human behaviour. I choose RGU because whilst attending several open days RGU stood out amongst all others.
Before coming to RGU, what was your expectation of it - and how has the reality been?
My time at RGU has been better than I ever expected. Staff and students on the campus are absolutely friendly and it’s always a positive environment to walk in every morning.
What's the best thing about being an RGU student?
The opportunity to make friends from all over the globe and grown to become a confident person.
Describe your favourite memory of RGU so far?
My favourite memory has been attending seminars with my class group. The lecturers made sure that every seminar was interesting. The interactions we as students have with our lecturers and other students during these seminars were always the highlight of my day.
Tell us about your most challenging/rewarding project/assignment/module. What did you like/ dislike about it and how has it helped you?
The most challenging module I did at RGU was the placement module. I worked at Aberdeen City Council and produced a research report which would help the city council to develop future projects in the city.
What is your favourite way to spend your time when you are not studying? Why is that important to you?
I love music, so in my free time you will find me singing or playing on my keyboard recording music.
What would you say to someone considering studying at RGU? Any advice you would share?
I would say if you’re looking for a friendly environment to study at, RGU is the perfect place for you. The staff are all approachable and always ready to help.
