How to Pay

Payment Plans

We can arrange flexible payment plans to best suit your requirements. When you accept your accommodation, you can choose one of our standard payment plans:

  • Pay the full amount in one instalment before you arrive
  • Pay at the start of each term
  • Pay in fixed instalments across the lease period (number of payments varies depending on lease length)

Or you can contact us to arrange a different payment plan if you prefer.

Please contact us if you would like any further information about our payment plans

Recurring Card Payments

This is our preferred method of payment as payments are automatically taken from your registered credit or debit card.  Your card details are entered into our secure system when accepting your accommodation offer online. The system accepts all major credit/debit cards, except Visa Electron and Maestro. Please note that our recurring card payment system is a separate secure system from the rent advance payment system, so you need to enter your details again.

To update your bank card details, please follow the instructions from our secure system:

Pay online

Log in and click the My Finance tab, then “Make a payment”. This system accepts all major credit/debit cards but is only available once you have enrolled as a student at RGU.

Pay through student portal

Rent payments and other accommodation related payments can be made through your student accommodation portal:

Flywire

If you are non-UK student, you may prefer to pay through Flywire. Flywire enables international students to make payments securely in your own currency using local payment methods from the safety and convenience of your home.

Pay in person

You can also pay in person at the Student Help Point, Level 3 of the Ishbel Gordon building on the campus. Cash, credit and debit cards (except American Express) are accepted.

Bank Transfers

If you wish to pay by bank transfer, details are available on request by emailing accomstufin@rgu.ac.uk

Please note that any fees or commission charged for currency conversion or transaction charges must be paid by the resident. The University shall accept no responsibility for payment of these charges.

Alternative Options

If none of these payment methods are suitable, please contact Accommodation Finance on accomstufin@rgu.ac.uk to arrange an alternative option.
