We pride ourselves on giving you access to an abundance of specialised facilities to ensure you get as much hands-on experience to prepare you for the workplace in any health or science professions.
Our Analytical Science Laboratory is a purpose-built learning environment that fully supports and develops your learning experience at RGU.
Our purpose-built Cell Culture Laboratory has been specifically designed to facilitate the development of your hands-on skills in cell culture required for life science disciplines and research.
The Clinical Skills Centre is situated in the Ishbel Gordon Building. It has a number of different rooms and laboratories purposefully designed to practise clinical skills.
The Environmental Laboratory is a space used by all 5 courses in The Scott Sutherland School of Architecture & Built Environment. Students are time-tabled to attend and perform experiments under staff supervision.
The Food Handling Laboratory can be used for any preparation or analyses you will have to undertake on our courses such as Food, Nutrition and Human Health or Dietetics.
Our Forensic Imaging Laboratory provides you with all the instrumentation to undertake a wide selection of forensic analysis and ensures you gain hands-on experience.
Our Human Performance Laboratory in the Ishbel Gordon Building offers world class expertise and gold standard equipment in the analysis of human function and movement.
We have a dedicated Crime Scene House on campus that is used to arrange mock crime scenes that you will have the opportunity to work on when studying Forensic and Analytical Science.
Within the Clinical Skills Centre is our Occupational Therapy Home Setting, which has been designed for you to practise your clinical skills within a safe environment.
The Physiotherapy Suite and Gym include two rooms that resemble physiotherapy clinics and a gym for all your practical work you will undertake in related courses.
Our Psychology Laboratory and Test Library give you access to contemporary IT facilities and laboratory space for experiments and studying.
The Radiography Suite sits within the Ishbel Gordon Building and contains industry standard equipment for clinical skills practice.
The Pharmacy Simulation Centre can be found in the Sir Ian Wood Building and is designed to resemble a real-life Pharmacy.
Students are provided with volunteer patients on most of our Health and Social Care courses. The volunteer patients contribute to your practical education and training whilst studying here.
Our Ward Area has been designed to replicate a real hospital allowing you to practice and gain confidence in your clinical skills in a realistic and safe environment.
