Gray's Staff Projects
Augmented Fashion
Immersive interactions for sustainable heritage in fashion & textile. Virtual or digital fashion is the visual representation of clothing built using computer technologies and 3D software.
Augmented Fashion explores the possibilities of digital fashion for the communication and preservation of heritage fashion and textile brands with a slow fashion ethos, to encourage more sustainable fashion production processes and reduce consumption of cheap, fast fashion products.
As part of the project, we commissioned artist John Walter to create a Virtual Reality world that we will use as part of our final virtual fashion event. Fashion image is by Beth Davidson graduate for BA (Hons) Fashion & Textile Design, commissioned to create a virtual fashion collection using Clo3D fashion design software.
