Join the StoriedPlace Knowledge Exchange Café - a virtual space for academics and practitioners to exchange ideas, best practices, and challenges in valuable, ethical, sustainable and place-conscious storytelling.

Join us for an informal online gathering at StoriedPlace Café, a space for practitioners and academics interested in storytelling, heritage, and place. This virtual Knowledge Exchange Café offers a relaxed environment to share ideas, best practice, challenges, and reflections on place-based storytelling.

This time, we are gathering to discuss digital sustainability in storytelling projects. Dr Rachael Ironside will be joined by Graham Hogg and Steve Colmer from Lateral North, an engagement and design collective based in Glasgow, Scotland. They will share insights from their experience of supporting organisations and community groups to develop and sustain digital storytelling work.

Have you ever considered or used digital technology for storytelling? This might include a digital display or interpretation in a museum, or a website hosting a collection of stories for a community or heritage group. Have you encountered challenges in maintaining or sustaining your digital work? If so, this event is for you.

By bringing together academics and practitioners, this Knowledge Exchange Café series aims to support shared learning as we explore new perspectives on storytelling practice and work together to shape future research agendas. Bring your favourite tea, coffee, and biscuit, and take part in a lively exchange of knowledge and experience with others working in, or researching, this important field.

We look forward to welcoming you!
