Waterside Farm Community Event

Thursday 12 February 2026 14:00 - 18:00

Location: Amphitheatre, Sir Ian Wood Building, RGU Campus

Two people amongst the trees at Waterside Farm

Join RGU for a community event where we’ll be sharing an update on our Waterside Farm Nature Restoration Project, which launched in December 2024.

The restoration project is one of the biggest biodiversity projects known at a university campus in Scotland. Across 55 acres, we are returning the landscape back to a more natural state creating biodiverse habitat and enhancing the already high carbon holding capacity through sustainable, ecologically positive practices.

Whether you’re hearing about the project for the first time or have been following from afar, this event is an opportunity to learn more about what’s happening on the ground and how the project is evolving.

We would like to invite you to a community update, where we will:

  • Provide an overview of progress to date
  • Share early ecological impacts
  • Outline opportunities for continued community involvement
  • Invite your reflections and questions as we continue forward

We hope you can join us and be part of the ongoing conversation around this important local project.
