Wednesday 05 November 2025 13:00 - 16:30
Location: H405, Ishbel Gordon Building
Please join us for our first multi-professional AHP in-person workshop where we will explore supporting students on placement who have neurodivergence and/or reasonable adjustments. Due to this being an in-person event places are limited so please register to secure your space!
In this in-person workshop we will explore the following areas:
- An Inclusion update from RGU’s Inclusion Team
- A range of neurodivergent conditions which are identified on student's inclusion plans (e.g. ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia).
- How neurodivergent differences may impact the demonstration of learning on placement (sensory, communication (verbal and written), planning and organisation.
- Develop an enhanced understanding of how to foster an inclusive environment for learning, including a sense of belonging.
- Understand the terminology of 'reasonable' adjustments within your own workplace and develop a range of reasonable adjustment options for discussion with students.
- Discuss examples of current practice and learn from others.
- Develop strategies to support both practice educators and students in this evolving area.
