Art Weekenders

Make an abstract window painting capturing views from the Art School. We’ll tape clear sheets of acetate to the windows and draw the view beyond, reimagining what we see outside through bold colours and abstract shapes.

Learn how to build sculptures with wire. After experimenting with cutting and bending techniques, you will design and craft your own final sculpture.

Be a design student for the day immersing yourself in the design process. Explore part of Gray’s Degree Show 2025 to collect inspiration for colour, shape, and pattern. Then, work in the studio to design textile concepts, alongside figure drawing to develop your own fashion and textile illustrations.

Join us for a 2-hour figure drawing workshop that combines essential life drawing techniques with creative exploration through a variety of mixed media.

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you'll dive into the world of mono drawing, mono printing, and letterpress printing. This 2-hour workshop offers an opportunity to experiment with various techniques while developing your printmaking skills in a fun and engaging environment.

Join our fun, hands-on 2-hour workshop designed to spark creativity and imagination through playful collaboration. Explore how form, material, and meaning shape sculpture as you design playful public art proposals. Build small-scale models, then photograph and digitally transform them into vibrant posters reimagining your creations around the art school.

Join us, in our photography studio for a fun, 2-hour Light Painting workshop. Use torches, colourful glow sticks, and long exposure photography to create light drawings in the dark together. Watch your light trails come to life while learning the art of long exposure photography.

Young creatives are invited to explore the dynamic world of screen printing, learning how to transfer designs onto fabric. Using pre-exposed screens and DIY stencils, you’ll get to play with the bold branding from Gray’s Degree Show 2025, experiment, mix it up, and make it your own.
