Diploma Supplements are designed to be shared securely with potential employers and other institutions to provide more insight into course/programme content, awards and module outcomes.
Eligibility
You are eligible for a Diploma Supplement if you are:
- An undergraduate part-time student who completed your course after 1 August 2014
- A graduate certificate student who completed your course after 1 August 2014
- A postgraduate certificate, diploma or masters student who completed your course after 1 August 2014
What does a Diploma Supplement look like?
The Diploma Supplement follows the model developed by the European Commission, Council of Europe and UNESCO/CEPES.
The service the University is using to provide students with a Diploma Supplement is Gradintel, part of the Tribal Group and the suppliers of the student record system.
What information is included in the Diploma Supplement?
Only information ratified by University Assessment Boards will be included in Diploma Supplements.
The information recorded includes:
- Qualification and classification
- Main field of study
- Mode of attendance
- Commencement and award dates
- Modules and outcomes
- Course/Programme details
What does the Diploma Supplement mean for graduates?
Email notification will be sent to your University email account with details of how to access the report. Access and use of Gradintel services is free for students.
You have control of who sees your documents with the potential to send quickly to multiple destinations so that they can view this secure, authenticated document and confirm the award you have received.
Students who wish to share their Diploma Supplement with third parties such as prospective employers, other higher education institutions or any other third party can do so by issuing them with a secure logon. Third parties, who have access permissions issued by students, may view the verified Diploma Supplement and print a copy, but it should be noted that the printed version is no longer a verified record by Robert Gordon University

You can issue a token to third parties and specify how many times it can be viewed.

What does the Diploma Supplement mean for employers?
Ease of authentication will be a real benefit to employers.
Information supplied on application forms or CVs can easily be verified through a simple registration system to view the secure Diploma Supplement document on the Gradintel website.
Waiting time for confirmation of award will also be reduced.

How do I access my Diploma Supplement?
We will create an account for you as part of your registration at the University and contact you when it is ready to be activated.
Gradintel’s services, including access to the Diploma Supplement, are free for students.
Robert Gordon University will publish Diploma Supplement for all eligible students after July and December graduations. Students will be emailed to advise them when their Diploma Supplement is available.
Only in exceptional circumstances will a paper copy Diploma Supplement be provided. Students who require a paper copy should contact records@rgu.ac.uk
Gradintel provides other services and students who are currently not eligible for a Diploma Supplement can register directly with Gradintel. These services are also free for students. Robert Gordon University has no access to any information posted by individual students to the Gradintel website.

Why have Gradintel accounts been set up?
Robert Gordon University is working in partnership with Gradintel, part of the Tribal Group who supply the University student records system, to produce Diploma Supplements. These are virtual documents that can be accessed when the University issues you with your account activation email.
Why is it necessary to register with Gradintel?
You need to register with Gradintel so that you have a secure way of accessing your Diploma Supplement.
Who do I contact if my Diploma Supplement is not accurate?
Your academic achievements will be published on a Diploma Supplement by the university.
