Dame Evelyn Glennie CH

The Chancellor is appointed as the titular head of the University and confers degrees, diplomas, and other awards. As Chancellor, Dame Evelyn plays a crucial ambassadorial role for the University, helping to raise RGU’s profile regionally, nationally, and internationally.

Dr Colin Hunter

Dr Colin Hunter graduated MB ChB from the University of Aberdeen in 1981 and followed a career in general practice, working for over 33 years as a practitioner in Skene Medical Group just west of Aberdeen.

Honorary Graduate - Murray Pittock

Graduating Friday 3 July, 10:30 with an Honorary Graduate 
Degree from the School of Law and Social Sciences, Murray Pittock is one of Scotland’s leading historians, cultural and textual scholars, and public 
intellectuals.

Professor John Harper, former Principal & Vice-Chancellor of RGU, was a highly respected and influential figure in Scottish higher education, devoting more than four decades to the sector.
