Barry Duncan
Managing Director & Vice President, Finance, CNR International
Little or large, the value of a gift is priceless. Whether it’s a donation of time or money, the impact is evergreen.
CNR International have been supporting students through its scholarship offering since 2014 and we sat down with Barry Duncan (Managing Director & Vice President, Finance) to hear why they continue to give back to RGU.
Barry takes us back to the 80s to relive his student days studying at RGIT (now Aberdeen Business School) and uncovers the lasting impact of his studies. A lot has changed since he graduated more than 35 years ago, but it appears the University’s focus on practical experience has always remained at the fore.
Looking back to his graduation from RGU, he shared: “Thinking about life after [graduation], RGU has very much been a regular theme in my family.
"We’re very lucky, and in some ways unique, that the whole family has been involved with RGU. My wife and I met during our studies and both graduated in 1987, our two eldest sons are both graduates and our youngest son is currently studying Sports Science at the University. So, with continued hard work from him, we’ll have a full house in the years to come.
Hear more about Barry’s reflections on RGU and why keeping connected is important to him on both a personal and professional level.
