Any member of RGU staff or students can make an appointment as well as members of the public. We are also happy to arrange Art & Heritage tours, showcasing the collections displayed across the RGU campus.
Before your visit
Please contact collections@rgu.ac.uk to book your appointment, giving as much notice as possible (ideally two working weeks prior to your preferred date).
- Make us aware of any access or specific requirements so that we can ensure these are accommodated.
- For group bookings, indicate the size of the group. Visits to the Collections Hub are restricted to a maximum of 10 people, due to space constraints but with sufficient notice we can book and host your visit in a larger space.
- Please provide as much information as you can about the material(s) you wish to view. You can search the collections using our online search tool.
- Be aware that if you wish to consult multiple items, we may need more notice of your visit.
- We will also be happy to discuss alternative arrangements and costs for digitisation of material.
When you visit
- Leave any bags and jackets in the secure bag drop.
- You can bring your laptop and pencils into the Collections Hub, but no pens or food/drink.
- You may be asked to wear gloves before handling some materials.
- Take care with collections and make sure you do not mark them in any way.
Photography
- Ask staff before taking any photographs. We will always allow this for the purposes of research and private study provided copyright is not infringed and there are no restrictions on the use of the material(s).
- We may ask to take a photograph of your visit for promotional purposes – this will only happen with your permission.
After you visit
We are always looking for ways to improve our visitor experience. Please help us by completing and returning our feedback form after your visit.
